Anatoly Metlan was born in 1964 in the Ukraine. Showing promise as an artist while still a child, Metlan studied art at university before immirgrating to Israel after the fall of the Soviet Union. He has been influenced by the Impressionists as well as the landscapes of Provence in France where he has lived.
