Ruth Schloss was born in 1922 in Nuremberg, Germany. She made Aliyah to Israel in 1937. From 1938-41, she studied at the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem with Mordechai Ardon. In 1946, she tought Kibbutz Artzi artists with Yochanan Simon and Marcel Janco. She became an illustrator of children
