The photographs in this book are not photographs of historical events. They do not concentrate around one subject. The photographed anonymous people are partners in life's banal events, that all of them together reflect the anthropological face of our society.
Alex Levac was born in Tel Aviv in 1944., and graduatied from Tel Aviv Univ with a degree in philosophy and psychology, He then continued with a degree in photography from the London College of Printing, he began his career as a freelance photographer in Brazil (1971-74), moving on to London (1974-79) and Los Angeles (1979-81) and finally setting in Jerusalem. He has exhibited his work in the USA, Great Britain and Israel (1978-2001).
In 1983 he became staff photographer for the daily 'Hadashoth' and since 199, he continued in the same capacity for the Tel Aviv daily 'Ha'aretz'. His work has previously appeared in several other well received publications: 'Eyes upon Zion' (1994), 'Tel-Aviv Serenade' (1999).
